I've had a 'to do' list for every day this week and, so far, I've achieved everything on it!

Saturday was a nice, relaxing day. Because the daughter and grandson didn't come down, I gained about three hours to the day! I used some of that time to give the kitchen a good clean, including the fridge/freezer. I also watched some DS9 and played W3 ( Read more... )

So, a slow week at work enabled me to read a 30 chapter fanfic called 'Don't Come Closer'. I heartily recommend it. I left positive feedback on every chapter and it gave me a really good feeling. So, I let Junior live in Witcher 3 and I have a very bad feeling about that. I mean, if anyone in the game DESERVES to die, it's probably him - but I keep getting that Gandalf line running around my head... 'Many people die who deserve to live. I really, REALLY want a week when I have zero church stuff to do. This week I'm attending a book launch, sorting hymns for Lent, and preparing a talk for 6 March (although it will be the last for a while). I would also be doing the liturgy for Lent if I had the church laptop with me but that will now have to wait for next week *sigh ( Read more... )

So, the cold that wasn't going to keep me off work notched up enough that I decided I really needed three days at home. The upside to this was that I put some serious hours into Witcher 3. So, I seem to have come down with a cold but not one that will keep me off work, I think. Thankfully, the early Monday morning meeting we've been having recently has been cancelled and otherwise I've got a mostly desk day.
